How Kay Stitches Began
It all started with a spool of pink thread, a simple embroidery hoop, and a quiet afternoon at my kitchen table. I had always loved crafting, but embroidery felt different—it was slow, peaceful, and let me turn little ideas into something beautiful and tangible.
At first, I stitched just for myself and my loved ones—floral hoops for friends, personalized gifts for birthdays, and little decorative pieces for my home. Each project taught me something new, and before I knew it, my evenings were filled with the soft hum of needle and thread.
One day, a friend suggested I open an Etsy shop so others could enjoy my work, too. I hesitated at first—I wasn’t sure if anyone would want what I made. But the thought of sharing my creations with people all over the world was exciting, so I decided to take the leap.
I started The Stitch Chic Kay with a few simple designs and a lot of hope. Since then, I’ve been blessed to create personalized gifts, home décor, and keepsakes for customers near and far.
